Numerous documentary editors whose intellectual contributions are represented in the digital edition have been working on the Naval Documents of the American Revolution series for more than a half century. They are not all enumerated here but their names can be found in the front matter for each volume.

Efforts to provide an accessible digital edition were led by Dr. David F. Winkler, Captain Charles T. Creekman, US Navy (Ret), and their colleagues at the Naval Historical Foundation.

This digital edition of volumes 1-13 of the Naval Documents of the American Revolution was made possible by a generous grant from Andrew and Barbara Taylor to the Naval Historical Foundation. Instrumental matching funds were received through the Maritime Heritage Grant from the District of Columbia Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service1.

Perdue Digital Services, LLC’s conversion and encoding of the content was provided by Jeff Diehm, Jake Gehred, Kathryn Gehred, Mark Hawking, Heather Van Kampen, Kat Zantow, and Varya Zhigilei. President Sue Perdue oversaw the project from its inception.

The Center for Digital Edition provided the critical infrastructure and web design that made this digital edition possible. Directed by Jennifer Stertzer and with Erica Cavanaugh’s technical expertise, CDE staff Sarah Tran also made significant contributions to this project.

Ben and Sara Brumfield of Brumfield Labs, LLC made important contributions to project workflow and data management.

The homepage template was made by Colorlib and customized by the Center for Digital Editing.
