2. The privateer the sloop Hammond, Capt. Bridger Goodrich, of 16 guns and a 100-man crew had captured the Massachusetts privateer brigantine Black Prince out of Boston, commanded by William Steward and owned by T. Adams. It carried 14 guns and 70 men. Several days later Hammond arrived at New York with Black Prince.
